Erika & Josh | Rhode Island Convention Center |Providence, RI

So maybe we gush about our couples a lot, but we always have good reason, they are seriously AWESOME people to work with! Erika and Josh are no exception! They were so brilliant to work with and it was easy to see that they both got it from their amazing families who really helped make this such a special occasion.

We were at the Rhode Island Convention Center in The Rotunda room, a very spacious and unique location. The Rotunda is a tall over-all very grand room that was quite lovely for this intimate wedding.  It never felt too grand in fact it almost felt like the continuous wall was like we were in a constant hug  – some place very safe and warm.

Enough about the room, lets get on to the couple and details!

Something blue?  NO, Erika’s favorite color is Purple!  Loooooooooves purple!  And it was so evident in the day from the purple hues in the flowers accented by pops of green provided by Wedding Flowers by Annette, to the purple up lighting thanks to Sound Design, right down to her dress from Wishing Well Bridal!

Erika’s dress from Wishing Well Bridal had a peekaboo cut out on the bottom.  She replaced the original white fabric  with a very light, soft purple tulle to tie it all together.  She didn’t want it to be necessarily noticeable to the average eye but it was more for her than anyone else!  Did we mention there were purple fortune cookies?!  You’ll see those later!

Now that Erika and Josh were both dressed up and ready for their big day (with a little bit of help from Alicja Zadroga for Hair, Diana Zadroga for Make up and Josh’s timeless suit from Men’s Wearhouse) it was time to take a moment to see one another for the first time before everyone else had their chance. We also took this opportunity to get some formal pictures out of the way ahead of time instead going MIA during cocktail hour, this way Erika & Josh could really enjoy their cocktail hour with their friends and family.

Annette Rinaldi of Wedding Flowers by Annette did such an amazing job of bringing the colors Erika loves so much into the flowers that would be seen throughout the day. The purples and greens really popped in a way that made you want to just touch and smell them all day long.

After taking full advantage of all the amazing architecture the Convention Center had to offer, it was now time to seal the deal. Ceremony time was upon us and Erika and Josh had a close personal friend perform the beautiful and personal ceremony.  Not too short but not too long.  They incorporated a lot of Jewish traditions including our favorites, the chuppah (love the significance of it) and the breaking of the glass!

After a heartfelt ceremony, Erika and Josh along with all their guests to cocktail hour. It’s so nice to see brides and grooms mingling during this time.  We always encourage clients to take advantage of this for that reason. Your wedding day is usually such a blur, it never hurts to allow for more time to spend with your guests and schedule things like formal pictures during a time that you don’t have to be so rushed and feel like you’re missing out on time with the people you’ve asked to attend!

The food that the venue provided was not only pretty to look at but also quite delicious!

As the sun started to set and guests made their way back into the ceremony room just as it became twilight. The Rotunda Room was completely transformed into a modern-day purple ballroom that looked like it was futuristic.  It was gorgeous!

Just to top it all off the color coordinated fortune cookies by Fancy Fortune Cookies and an elegant, clean and simple cake from Sin Desserts to match! This day was meant to be filled with color!

After taking in all the beautiful details it was time for our bride and groom to have their first dance in this gorgeous room filled with the people they love and whole lotta purple love too! Sound Design made sure they heard their first dance song perfectly as well as had the party going strong after dinner was served!

Erika and Josh’s parents wanted their respective dances as well, which is really the only way to get the dance floor started for everyone young and old. Plus some great moves demonstrated by the bride and groom!

Erika and Josh thank you so much for sharing all the love you and your family have with us. It was an incredibly fun day for us and we wish you so many more fun and happy days ahead!
